Listen to your thoughts, is there a pattern that frequently leads to a familiar outcome.

Define in your mind how you imagine the ideal outcome.

Write down a question, whatever comes to mind.

Examples: 

You decide to do something but never seem to get around it.

You are reacting to something that you want to control but there is an outside force that blocks you.

The culture you are living in doesn’t reflect your beliefs.

Someone or something is preventing you from influencing the people who could benefit your project.

Your family or friends don’t respect your accomplishments.

You want to move or change jobs.

There is no limit to your questions but ask only once for each question.

The Yarrow Stick method is too complex for this author to explain.

The ancient practice of cracking of turtle shells is out of fashion in present time.

Seeking the wisdom of the sages has become difficult unless you are willing to travel long distances.

The hope of the author, for this publication, is to present a version of interpretation that is easy to read and understand. 

The Changing Lines

There is no reference to the changing lines for the sake of focus.

The author's intention is to encourage awareness of the present situation.

The energies for all changes are intertwined into the story.

For those who are new to the I CHING, this work is focused on the 4 elements theory.

The Four Elements Theory

The Universal Forces of Nature: Air, Fire, Earth, Water.

 The actions of the Mountain, Lakes, and Thunder, as they influence the lives of the people.

The title offers a positive description of each story with a subtitle that refers to the influence of the natural elements that represent the influence of those two elemental forces upon each other.

The stories are taken directly from various translation of the I CHING and written to include some of the history of the people living in the 11th century BCE in the Yellow River Valley of China.
